Operations Manager
Are you a problem-solver that loves to turn complex challenges into seamless experiences? Do you thrive on building structures from the ground up? If you want to be part of laying the foundation for Norrsken House Amsterdam - then this role might be your calling!
About Norrsken
Norrsken is a non-profit foundation dedicated to helping entrepreneurs solve the world’s greatest challenges. We do this through three pillars: Norrsken Houses, investment funds and strategic initiatives. To date, 1,000+ impact startups are part of Norrsken. And we’re just getting started.
About Norrsken House Amsterdam
In 2026, we’re coming to the city where modern shareholder capitalism was born, and opening a House to re-imagine it. Set in the historic Van Gendt Hallen, this site was for 300 years the home for commercial development and will now be the home for entrepreneurs, funders, thinkers and doers set to build a new generation of impact initiatives.
About the role
As our Operations Manager, you will hold the keys to the house - literally and figuratively. You will be the architect behind our daily operations and setting the structure, support and strategy that will shape our direction. You’ll switch between high-level thinking and diving deep and hands-on in the details. Your mission will be to design the conditions for our members to thrive, ensuring the House runs like a well-oiled machine so they can focus on fixing the world. Because if they win, we all win.
Main responsibilities (but not limited to):
Project management: Oversee and drive the development of Norrsken House Amsterdam. You’ll have ownership of P&L and be the one making trade-off decisions to balance speed, budget and top quality, while maintaining tight-knit communication with external collaborators and the team.
Operational excellence: Define and implement our ways of working to ensure our House runs seamlessly and is optimised for impact. You’ll have the ownership and freedom to seek innovative solutions to save costs, unlock time and solve day-to-day challenges.
Procurement: Identify and own relationships with suppliers and partners. From F&B to IT, you’ll make sure our House is ready to host bold and unforgettable experiences.
Technology: Lead the back-office and work closely with the team members in Amsterdam and globally to share best practices and find smart solutions.
House & Member experience: Design the processes that ensure our members have the best onboarding experience, both digitally with tools and systems, but more specifically in the physical space.
Leadership: You’ll join our founding team in Amsterdam. Your contributions and ideas will directly shape how we grow our team and community to support the role-models of the future: impact entrepreneurs.
Who you are
You have a genuine passion for making things better in the world, a natural leader that approaches problems, people and projects with enthusiasm, curiosity and strategic thinking.
You’re a problem-solver and a doer, with an entrepreneurial attitude and proven track record of getting good things done. You don’t just identify problems; you fix them with creativity and ownership.
You’re analytical and structured, never losing sight of the bigger picture or small details.
You love making other people's experience amazing. Your personality and attention to detail should put a smile on the Norrsken members' faces.

5+ years of experience from leading operations with budget responsibility and complex projects.
Experience in spearheading negotiations and bidding processes is considered an asset.
Experience in managing physical spaces within hospitality, office spaces or similar is a huge advantage.
