CFO/COO Norrsken Foundation

In our first three years, we have created Europe’s largest impact tech hub, Norrsken House in Stockholm (currently housing 450 members), launched the world's biggest early-stage impact VC, started four companies, and expanded our operations to Kigali, Rwanda. 

And we're just getting started. As we gear ourselves up for the next phase of Norrsken, we are looking for a new CFO/COO to join the Norrsken management team. 

Our current CFO is leaving Norrsken, and our COO is transitioning to a Chief Growth Role, driving the continued expansion of the foundation. This is a unique role where we want you to be able to lead both finance and operations of Norrsken. Thus your responsibilities will be twofold:

  1. You will drive all matters within finance, treasury, impact measuring, corporate admin, legal and asset management (of Norrsken’s 1 billion SEK), making us capital efficient in creating the most impact through our investments & initiatives. 
  2. You will be leading the Norrsken House team and People operations in Sweden, Rwanda and future countries Norrsken will expand to, ensuring efficient collaboration across diverse business areas in multiple geographies as one team. 

You will have the financial controller, people operations lead and our house operations team reporting to you. 

You are a good fit if you: 

  • want to make the world a better place, and believe entrepreneurship is a great driving force for this. 
  • are a finance and operational generalist, who can contribute both in the details as well as to high level strategic discussions 
  • have experience from managing finances and operations in a fast-paced smaller- or medium-sized company, giving you the understanding of bookkeeping, finance, business development, tax, legal, risk, corporate admin, operations, and HR (preferably in several countries and entities) 
  • have experience from driving funding strategy and implementing different funding alternatives in multiple countries and currencies.  
  • have previously managed teams of different business areas internationally 
  • have 7+ years of relevant experience 

Examples of areas of responsibility: 

  • Funding and financial strategy 
  • Audit, accounting and reporting processes 
  • Business controlling and financial risk management for all entities within the group
  • Impact measurement
  • Tax and VAT 
  • Operational strategy, roadmap planning, tactics and prioritisation
  • Optimising team collaboration between multiple business areas in different countries 
  • Contribute to the overall strategy of the foundation as part of the management team 

You will be a member of the Norrsken Foundation management team, and report directly to the CEO. 

The position is based in Stockholm and will require some travelling. Salary is 70,000 sek/month, participation in the Norrsken team investment program, 7 weeks of vacation and benefits. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
