About Norrsken
Norrsken is a non-profit foundation that supports entrepreneurial solutions to big, global challenges. We do this through three pillars: Norrsken Houses, investment funds and strategic initiatives. To date, 3,000+ startups building solutions for a better tomorrow are part of Norrsken. And we’re just getting started.
About Norrsken House Amsterdam
In 2026, we’re opening Norrsken House Amsterdam. It will be a world-class co-working, club and events space, home to a vibrant ecosystem that connects and empowers 1,000+ entrepreneurs, investors, and partners building a future where civilization thrives within planetary boundaries.
About the role
As the Events Lead, you will have a crucial role in positioning Norrsken House Amsterdam as a space where players come together to drive positive change. You’ll be planning and executing a diverse range of events for internal and external stakeholders. Your mission will be to curate the unexpected encounters, bold ideas, and human connections that make every moment at Norrsken House Amsterdam worth your time - and worth remembering.
You’ll work closely with the rest of the Amsterdam team, and especially Head of Strategic Programming & Ecosystem to deliver on our programmatic and events calendar. This role will give you a lot of trust and ownership in a fast-paced environment with a team of ambitious and caring people!
This role reports to the Managing Director and is based out of Norrsken House Amsterdam.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to):
Event production: You own the run-of-show from start to finish. You curate the guest-list, manage guest check-ins, coordinate the moving pieces on the ground so every event runs exactly as planned.
Coordinate with external partners: You’ll coordinate with partners for F&B, tech and IT to ensure a seamless experience. You aren't afraid to push for the highest standards and the best value for Norrsken, while still building trusted, friendly relationships with our suppliers.
Collaborate with the team: Work closely with the team in Operations, Marketing and Community to ensure smooth communication and successful event delivery. Together you plan for bold ideas and real connections. Once the ideas are set, you take full responsibility for the space; arranging the seating, lighting, and layout perfectly because you know they can make or break an event.
Feedback & post-event evaluation: Conduct surveys and evaluations to recognize successes, flag technical or logistical challenges, and make the next event even tighter.
Who you are
Excited about events and bringing people together: You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are deeply motivated by driving the “behind the scenes” to make people come together.
Ability to create stand-out experiences. You know what it takes to produce events that make people sit up, take notice, and walk away with real, actionable value.
A problem-solver, cool under pressure: You have exceptional organizational skills and tackle unforeseen circumstances with full force. You are the calmest person in the room when a technical issue happens or a schedule shifts at the last minute.
Have an eye for details: You spot the small things that others miss; whether it’s a slide format that looks off, a misplaced sign, or a bottleneck at the registration desk. You’ve solved these before anyone noticed.
Team player and a doer who rolls up your sleeves to get good sh*t done: You love the thrill of managing high-stakes logistics, working in a collaborative setting where we put impact over ego and the experience for our members and guests first.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in events, marketing, hospitality, project management or similar.
Experience working in fast-paced environments where things change quickly, like tech hubs, co-working spaces, cultural venues, or high-end hospitality. You are used to a busy event calendar with moving parts.
Proven experience working with external suppliers (like catering companies, technical crews, and decorators). You have a track record of managing event budgets and negotiating to get the best possible value.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Dutch and English.
