Business Controller Norrsken Foundation

At Norrsken Foundation, our vision is a world optimised for people and planet. We're leveraging entrepreneurship, technology and investing to achieve this. In our first three years, we have created Europe’s largest impact tech hub, Norrsken House in Stockholm (currently housing 350 members), started to build Norrsken House in Rwanda, started two companies, raised a unique investment fund that measures success in impact, and made 19 investments. We are now expanding to more places around the world, and we’re just getting started.

As a Business Controller you are instrumental to Norrsken’s ability to execute on our vision. You are pushing and developing the entire organisation by providing new insights and driving an analytical mindset as well as providing tools, methods and processes in addition to working closely with our accounting and auditing partners.

  • have 2-4 years of experience working with controlling, accounting and/or auditing
  • have previous experience in data visualisation, preferably in Tableau
  • fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English

Examples of areas of responsibility:

  • Conduct monthly controlling of financial and operational performance
  • Provide support and financial recommendations to budget owners
  • Manage and develop financial and operational dashboards in our data visualization software Tableau
  • Project lead the setup of new accounting functions as Norrsken expands internationally
  • Main point of contact for our outsourced accounting & payroll functions in Stockholm, Rwanda and UK
  • Project lead audits across the organisation
  • Provide financial reporting to the board and management team

If you have a couple of years of work experience and is eager to take on a challenge, this is a perfect opportunity for growth. The role will be developing as Norrsken expands, and for the right candidate there will be plenty of opportunities to take on more responsibility.

You will be a member of the Norrsken Foundation HQ team, and report to the CFO. The position is based in Stockholm and will require limited travelling. Salary is 35,000 sek/month, 7 weeks of vacation and good benefits.
