Interim CFO

At Norrsken Foundation, our vision is a world optimised for people and planet. We're leveraging entrepreneurship, technology and investing to achieve this. In our first two years, we have created Europe’s largest impact tech hub, Norrsken House (currently housing 350 members), started two companies, raised a unique investment fund that measures success in impact, and made 18 investments. And now we are expanding to more places around the world.

As our current CFO will be on maternity leave for 10 months, we are looking for an interim CFO to join the Norrsken management team and drive all matters within finance, treasury, corporate admin and legal. Thanks to your work, Norrsken will be able to open our first houses in Europe and Africa, raise more funding to impact investing and establish the most effective foundation in the world.

Your responsibilities will range from driving the financial aspects of the expansion internationally to overseeing the financial management of the group companies including legal, risk, treasury and tax matters. There is a controller in the team and the bookkeeping is handled by an external party. We work closely with our partners PWC as well. 

You are a good fit if you:

- want to make the world a better place, and believe entrepreneurship and business models are great driving forces for this

- are a finance generalist, who can contribute both in the details as well as to high level strategic discussions

- have experience from managing finances in a smaller- or medium sized company, giving you the understanding of bookkeeping, finance, business development, tax, legal, risk, corporate admin and HR

- have previously managed people

- have 7+ years of relevant experience

- experience from corporate finance is a plus

Examples of areas of responsibility:

- Audit, accounting and reporting processes

- Business controlling and financial risk

- Tax and VAT

- Secure financing for new projects

- Board material

- Contribute to the overall strategy of the foundation as part of the management team

The position is a temporary role for 10 months, starting in January 2020. You will be a member of the Norrsken Foundation management team, and report directly to the CEO. The position is based in Stockholm and will require some travelling. Salary is 68,500 sek/month, 7 weeks of vacation and good benefits.
