Norrsken Foundation is on a mission to put a positive ding in the universe, by connecting founders with capital, knowledge and network so that they can make saving the world their business. To further this mission, we are hiring a Head of Global Strategic Initiatives to drive the next frontiers of positive impact. This is a global role, based in Norrsken House Stockholm and with substantial travel. You will be reporting directly to our co-CEO, Funda Sezgi and work closely with the management team and the board. Are you ready to be a part of the solution?

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

You will drive global strategic initiatives to expand Norrsken’s impact. No day will look the same in this role, and it will span from complex strategic thinking to rolling up your sleeves and getting good sh*t done. To give you some flavor, strategic initiatives that we have done in the past:

• Setting up a 200mUSD growth capital fund in Africa
• Drive global expansion from idea to starting construction of a house in Kigali, Rwanda
• Setting up Sweden’s biggest lab for covid-testing and spin it off as a separate company
• Develop Norrsken’s strategy
• Figure out how to license the Norrsken brand and set-up in a new geography in a JV structure
• Collaborating with Harvard professors to develop Impact Weighted Accounting - an approach to price companies externalities and put it on their P&L

We would imagine that strategic initiatives you may be driving in the near term will include:

• Building a global knowhow ecosystem to catalyze Norrsken entrepreneurs
• Map and build a investor network to amplify our reach and impact ecosystem
• Expand Norrsken to the next geography, and lab with the formats to do so
• But we may also be wrong - and you will bring the next idea for elevating impact globally

Your role in these initiatives will be as strategic project leader. To take ideas from aspiration to a concrete action plan, get the relevant people mobilized and iterate on good solutions. The role will provide a variety of tasks and responsibilities and you will be constantly challenged with new projects and ideas. In this role you will definitely get people excited about the future.

Skills:

• 7+ years of experience, ideally within management consulting, strategy, operations from a startup/scale up
• Proven ability to tackle a broad set of tasks, with ability to contribute both in the details as well as to high level strategic discussions
• Strong analytical skills and ability to break down complex problems to concrete steps and synthesize recommendations
• Exceptional project management skills, with strong ownership and drive
• Proven track record of driving change and growth in an international context
• Ideally experience from working in a startup environment

Salary & benefits

The position will be based in Stockholm and will likely require substantial traveling.

Salary is 60 000 SEK/month, 7 weeks of vacation and really good benefits
