The role is versatile and we are looking for someone who is comfortable in rolling up their sleeves and jumping across various tasks and responsibilities (e.g. PR, marketing, content, copy, branding, event management, operations etc). The main responsibility of this role is to own all marketing and comms-related activities and share the image, brand and vision of Norrsken VC. As the Comms Director, with a clear internal and external position, you will ensure that the Norrsken VC brand is well presented and aligns with our values in all channels (earned and owned media).

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Drive our communications, PR and brand:
  Lead all public relations efforts by working closely with our PR agency to drive media presence as well as planning, creating and distributing content for both Norrsken VC and our stellar portfolio companies.

• Grow our presence in the market:
  You will proactively think about how to build our presence in our key markets and areas. By doing this you will ensure a consistent and aligned brand image across all marketing channels and continue to uplift Norrsken VC’s international brand awareness as one of Europe’s leading early-stage VC funds.

• Collaboration and Impact thought leadership:
  You will work in close cooperation and alignment with our entire investment team and our portfolio companies’ entrepreneurs as well as the Norrsken Foundation comms and marketing team. You will play a key role in driving thought leadership as a project manager or a big bonus if you like doing research and writing yourself (i.e. our in house journalist)

• Operational excellence and event management:
  We are a small and dynamic team and it is also important that you are ready to jump in and lend your support where it is needed. You will support internally and externally at industry-relevant events as well as internal events and secure top speaking opportunities as well as general event management.

Skills

• Preferably 5+ years of professional experience from marketing, communications, PR or similar.

- Maybe you’ve covered startups, venture capital and/or impact as a reporter? Maybe you’ve led communications for a fast-growing startup or VC fund?

• Excellent written and spoken English skills, with an ability to write punchy and engaging copy that makes your audience stop and take notice.
• Strong project management skills, with experience of effectively managing multiple work streams spanning multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
