Norrsken House Stockholm is Europe’s largest impact hub. It is a 2700m² creative cluster and co-working space for over 400 impact entrepreneurs located in Spårvagnshallarna in central Stockholm. 

As our General Manager is going on parental leave, we are looking for a stand-in superstar to run our daily operations and team for a period of 6-8 months. As General Manager you are the face of the house, you will be overall responsible for managing and improving day to day operations as well as supporting our incredible community of entrepreneurs. The mission? Create the best conditions and opportunities for entrepreneurs working to solve some of the world’s greatest problems. 

Norrsken Foundation is on a mission to put a positive ding in the universe. In our first five years of existence we’ve created Europe’s largest impact Hub in Stockholm, launched the world’s largest early-stage impact VC fund, founded some 10 companies and given birth to our own Impact Accelerator programme. We also continue to gather some of the world’s greatest thinkers in the recurring end-of-summer Impact Week, aimed at challenging decision makers and celebrating role models. On top of this, we are constructing East Africa’s largest hub for startups in Kigali, Rwanda, due to open before the end of the year. 

General Manager Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for day to day operations, ensuring Norrsken House is at the forefront of efficient ways of working whilst maintaining the best environment for Impact entrepreneurs
  • P&L responsibility of house operations and manager of the house team
  • Managing Norrsken members’ journey - understanding the challenges they face and how Norrsken can best help them to overcome them in order to go further and faster
  • Building and maintaining a community of entrepreneurs and overseeing Norrsken activities and events aimed at furthering our mission 
  • Managing member acquisition (sales) and member growth (retention)
  • Working alongside our Community Lead and Partnerships Manager to deliver great value for Norrsken House members and our main partners, through their interactions

  • Experience of managing coworking spaces and a proven track-record of creating synergies in collaborative environments 
  • Analytical mindset with strong ability to optimise P&L processes 
  • A real doer with a nothing-is-impossible attitude

Salary & benefits

This role is a temporary hire for 6-8 months, based in Stockholm.

Salary: 45 000 SEK per month
